BIOPROCESS SCALE UP AND TRAINING IN BIOREACTOR OPERATION

6th INTERNATIONAL COURSE THEORETICAL AND HANDS-ON TRAINING
Medellín, Colombia - November 19th to 23rd 2018

The United Nations University-Biotechnology Programme for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNU-BIOLAC) will award 10 scholarships to students or young researchers from Latin America and the Caribbean, to participate in the BIOPROCESS SCALE UP AND TRAINING IN BIOREACTOR OPERATION - 6th INTERNATIONAL COURSE, THEORETICAL AND HANDS-ON TRAINING. The course will be held at the facilities of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia- Sede Medellín (Medellín, Colombia) during November 19th to 23rd 2018.

Registration procedure

The 10 full scholarships include fees for course registration, flight tickets, lodging and meals during the course. To participate in the scholarships call, the terms and conditions are listed as follows:

1. Pre-registration on the official course page: https://ciencias.medellin.unal.edu.co/eventos/cursodebioreactores/
   Fill out the complete application and attach the curriculum vitae. The deadline to participate in the call for UNU-BIOLAC scholarships is August 30th 2018, although inscriptions to the course are open until September 30th 2018.
   For applicants to the UNU-BIOLAC scholarships call, the next information will be requested:
   a. Updated curriculum vitae (specify country of residence).
   b. Copy of passport.
   c. Motivation letter (the letter must contain a justification on the importance of the course for the applicant’s career and country of residence).
   d. Letter of recommendation.
   e. Certificate that verifies the applicant as a student or researcher at the moment.
2. The deadline to attach the required documentation is August 30th 2018. Only the information sent to this e-mail on the stipulated dates will be taken into account for the application procedure.
3. Results will be published in September 04th 2018 on the official website of the course. An email will be send to the selected applicants communicating the requirements to continue the process.

Notes:

1. For applicants who get the scholarship and that have already paid the registration fee, the money will be returned.
2. Applications for the UNU-BIOLAC scholarships does not guarantee a place in the course.
3. A limited number of scholarships per country and gender equality will be considered.
